WE ARE HERE TO CHANGE THINGS UP
The Glacier Rescue Project was started a few years back by a group of friends who felt that the whole global conversation about climate change was boring, way too scientific, and not something that most people could get excited about. The goal was to start small but to bring more art and creativity into the environmental world one project at a time. That way, we can communicate the importance of climate change and climate change-related issues in an engaging and exciting way.
As we have grown and developed organization, it has become very clear that with creative expression, we have the opportunity to launch projects across all industries and work with communities of all sorts. At this point, we have specific target audiences in mind, and launch projects strategically designed to reach that crowd with the result to either do some environmental action together, or to raise funds that can go towards another environmental action.
We use creative design and strategic visual communication to advocate for the global implications of mass glacial melt.
Glacial melt is the most visually indicative sign on climate change. As long as the climate crisis continues, glaciers will continue to deteriorate at an alarming rate. We use glaciers as a symbol of what we should be paying attention to and a gauge for our environmental progress.
A lot of work is needed in order to avoid serious climate catastrophes. However, by growing a global knowledge of glaciers and their contribution to the overall climate system, we can turn crisis into action and hope.
