The amount of carbon dioxide that gets released from each of our daily activities has a major impact on our rapidly changing climate and melting glaciers.
Fortunately, there are many simple ways to adjust daily habits, leave a smaller carbon footprint, and ultimately Re-Freeze™.
3 WAYS YOU CAN RE-FREEZE IN YOUR DAILY LIFE
DRIVE LESS.
EAT MORE VEGGIES.
SPREAD THE WORD.
DRIVE LESS.
If the average US driver cut down driving by just 30 minutes per week, we could collectively Re-Freeze over 1.7 Billion square feet of ice each year.
Aim to take less trips to the grocery store, take advantage of public transportation when you can, and carpool when possible. We encourage our community to drive 30 minutes less every week than their current schedule.
EAT MORE VEGGIES.
If just 10% of the US transitioned to a diet with one vegetarian meal a day, we could collectively Re-Freeze over 451 Million square feet of ice each year.
Chicken has a smaller carbon footprint than beef, and vegetarian diets have significantly smaller carbon footprints than any meat diet. We encourage our community to eat one vegetarian meal a day that they would normally eat with meat.
SPREAD THE WORD.
At the GRP, we strive to incorporate carbon reduction into all aspects of our community’s life. Our role is to find creative ways to tap into people’s interests and passions in order to communicate carbon reduction in easily understandable and actionable ways.
